One of Australia’s most beloved comedians, Claire Hooper has been entertaining audiences of all ages for over 20 years across stage, screen, radio, and podcasts.
In 2025, she made history as the host of the first international adaptation of the UK’s Richard Osman’s House of Games, reimagined for ABC TV as Claire Hooper’s House of Games.
Her television career spans a wide range of roles—from co-hosting The Great Australian Bake Off and leading a team on Good News Week, to making memorable appearances on The Project, Have You Been Paying Attention?, Spicks and Specks, and The Weekly with Charlie Pickering.
Beyond the screen, Claire is an accomplished writer with books, columns, and articles to her name. She’s also a seasoned broadcaster, having presented shows on Nova 937, RTRFM, and Mix 106.5, as well as the Qantas in-flight program Smile High Club. Regular guest spots on TGIF With Charlie Pickering, Triple M, and Triple RFM have further cemented her reputation as a versatile media personality.
In the podcasting world, she’s hosted three acclaimed seasons of ABC’s The Pineapple Project, and delves into the hilarious (and occasionally mortifying) personal confessions of fellow comedians on her own podcast, I’m the Worst with Claire Hooper.
Off-stage, she’s also a comedy director—and, though rarely called upon professionally, a qualified garden designer.
